THINGS WHICH CANNOT BE SHAKEN

HEBREWS 12:26-27

“When God spoke from Mount Sinai, his voice shook the earth, but now he makes another promise: “Once again I will shake not only the earth but the heavens also.” This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed so that only unshakable things will remain.”

So much is changing and being shaken in the world today. Jesus, towering above the wrecks of time. The Church advanced when many thought it would not survive. The work of God tells us that Jesus will build his church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Do we believe the greatest days are ahead for the church? Jesus Christ is alive forevermore; His promises have never changed. If you look at the world, it is easy to get discouraged. We are looking beyond this world. His kingdom shall be forever. Our glorified bodies will live forever. Jesus didn’t say look down; he said to look up.

What a foundation, what a hope. Death, the grave, all the disappointments of this life, but there beyond it all stands the towering promises of the word of God. Jesus, the king of kings and lord of lords.

We are a people of hope. We have no permanent home here. We are just passing through. One Day we will have a permanent home. One day that trumpet will sound. Jesus will come. That city we will go to cannot be shaken. It will be forever. So, keep pressing on, keep looking up, and be unshakable!
