Greetings from Your Network Superintendent

Terry + Susan Bailey

I am looking forward to seeing YOU at Minister’s Retreat on September 19-21 at Wilderness of the Smokies. Even though registration numbers are good, if you have not registered, we still have room for you. I look forward to connecting with you. It won’t be the same without you, and I really mean that.

Attending Minister’s Retreat has never been an obligation for me. It continues to be my absolute favorite Network gathering every year. Our bylaws state that ministers are expected to attend Network Council and Minister’s Retreat, but I have never attended out of duty. I always leave refreshed and encouraged, even during years when Susan was unable to attend with me.

Do you need financial assistance to attend? Most churches are delighted to send their pastor, staff, credential ministers, and spouses to retreat. However, if money is holding you back, call me at (615) 988-5695, and we will work something out with you. If your church can scholarship a minister, let me know. We do not want finances to keep anyone away.

Bring your kids with you or leave them at home. Your choice. We already have 40 kids pre-registered. The Kid Ministry Team from First Assembly in Griffin, Georgia, will be on-site for quality ministry to your kids. They will also have an awesome time with the water slide. Many school districts in Tennessee will also work with you so that their absence will be excused for religious purposes.

Monday will be golf, connect lunches, an incredible evening of worshipping the Lord, receiving a timely word from Aaron Burke, and times at the altar. Did I tell you about the free prizes?

Tuesday will be a family day. Spend your time shopping, hiking, resting, Dollywood, or simply enjoying life in the beautiful Smokey Mountains. Drop by that evening to the courtyard behind the Convention Center for fellowship, refreshments, family photos, and yard games.

Wednesday morning will be “Say No to Zero” service with worship, prayer, and partaking communion together as a Network family.
