Make sure your church has Worker’s Compensation coverage for the pastor, paid staff, and any paid employee of the church. 29% do not have this coverage.

Consider increasing your property deductible. As of 2022, our churches have deductibles of $500 (1%), $1,000-1,500 (60%), $2,000-2,500 (31%), and $5,000+ (8%).

Other areas you need to consider as you review your policy:

Recommended content-to-building ratio is 20%.
Roof coverage. Wind damage is the highest cause of loss.
Employment Practices Liability. 93% do not have this coverage.
Security Operations Coverage. 12% do not have this coverage.
Traumatic Incident Coverage. 11% do not have this coverage.
MinistryWorks Payroll service. 5 churches currently use this service.
