Greetings from Your Network Superintendent

Tuesday night, I tripped over a curb and fell. Banged up my bone-on-bone knees again. That area of the parking lot was dark, and I didn’t see the curb just ahead. I should have been watching where I was going more closely. My mind was on getting something out of Randel’s truck, so I didn’t see it coming. Falling hurt. I have got to be more careful. I will be ok. Using ice for the swelling, band-aids, Neosporin for the scraps, and Ibuprofen for the pain. Just frustrated at myself for falling.

Ever get frustrated at yourself for your falls and failures? Every minister experiences periodic failures in ministry and life. No minister is exempt. I like what Proverbs 24:16 says about falling. The New Living Translation reads, “The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.” The Amplified reads, “For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, But the wicked stumble in time of disaster and collapse.” The Contemporary English Version reads, “Even if good people fall seven times, they will get back up. But when trouble strikes the wicked, that's the end of them.”

No matter what has happened, learn from your mistakes and get back up.
