Network Update—05/02/2024
This past Sunday, April 28, it was an honor to be with General Superintendent Doug Clay at Kingsport First Assembly for their 100th Anniversary Celebration. Pastor Pete and Pam Miller and their pastoral staff have gotten off to a great start leading the church. K1 has been a strong missions-minded church for many years. The longest tenured pastor has been Carl Kelleher, who served 18 years.
I am looking forward to seeing you at Council99 this coming week. Come as you are to Hope Church in the wonderful town of Algood where Jason Yarbrough is pastor. You will be among your ministry family. Registration numbers have already surpassed last year. We will begin at 9:30 am on Monday morning with a Missions service and Don Cartledge will be speaking. The ministry of Mike Santiago, our national Under 40 EP, will be powerful in our service on Monday evening. He can help your church to break the 200 barrier. We will conclude Tuesday evening by honoring the Ordination Class of 2024. FYI, the church’s new playground should be finished just in case you need to play outside during recess. If you are not able to attend, all our services will be live streamed. We will definitely miss your not being there.
Come to receive spiritually whatever you need from the Lord. We will worship and pray and believe God together. If you see someone you don’t know at Council, strike up a conversation. Don’t wait for them to speak to you. They may just become your next best friend. They may even eventually decide to leave part of their estate to you in their will. You never know.
The most important business in the world is Kingdom business. While I thoroughly enjoy fellowship and thrive in looking for opportunities to personally connect with you, the major purpose of our Network Council is to conduct the business of the Tennessee Ministry Network. We have a number of resolutions for consideration. You have already received the resolutions packet via snail mail.
It is wonderful to know the burden bearer, the load lifter, our one true God who is the One who makes a way where there seems to be no way. There will always be victory in Jesus. Your needs will always be supplied no matter the circumstances. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Always remember that you are more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ. He began a good work in you and He will complete it.
See you Monday. Love and appreciate you much!
