Network Update—12/12/2024
TNMN Ministers,
We’re writing today to let you know about a transition that has occurred in the Network Office. As you know, Pastor Randel McCarty has been serving his final term as our Assistant Superintendent, concluding over thirteen years in that role and over forty years in network leadership as District Youth Director, Executive Presbyter, General Presbyter and, of course, Assistant Superintendent.
His and Darlene’s plan has been to transition to Houston, Texas, to be near some of their grandchildren and to serve alongside their daughter and son-in-law in church ministry. Pastor Randel’s responsibilities in our network were coming to a close, and they made the decision to accelerate their transition process.
Pastor Randel concluded his role as our network Assistant Superintendent on December 3, 2024. We are extremely grateful for the McCarty’s many years of faithful service to our Network and pray God’s richest blessings on them in their new season.
Though this creates a vacancy in his elected office, the presbytery board has decided not to fill that role with a temporary appointment since our 2025 Network Council is only five months away. At Pastor Terry’s request, the Executive Presbyters are helping cover Pastor Randel’s various responsibilities until Network Council.
The district presbytery has been consulted regarding this transition. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to speak with your Executive Presbyter or contact our Network Superintendent.
