Convoy of Hope is always ready to respond to the needs of the hurting and suffering around the world. When tragedy happens we want the church to be the one running to the need—not running away from it. The church is ready to respond and is responding in Turkey and Syria. Your partnership with the Church in this hard-hit area will help them meet the needs of thousands. Below are things that you can share with your church this Sunday to encourage your people to give:
Convoy of Hope is responding to the multiple earthquakes that have killed thousands of people in Turkey and Syria. The powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake rocked the region Monday, leveling buildings in both Turkey and Syria and trapping hundreds beneath the rubble. The earthquake was so strong that it was felt as far away as Cairo, Egypt.
Convoy of Hope is working with partners and contacts throughout the impact zone to ship, procure, and distribute relief supplies. Food, water, and other essentials are being locally procured and shipped to the region as quickly as possible.
Due to the sensitive nature of the situation, we’re not able to talk specifically about Syria.
